Course Evaluation

I was very nervous taking AMD 317 because I had no experience in digital photography. It was nothing like how I was expecting this course to be. As each class started and ended a new skill was taught. It was very challenging at the beginning, but I got the hang of it slowly but surely. This class taught me new Lightroom and Photoshop skills, how to take better photographs and overall learn that photography is so much more than just “taking pictures”. Each assignment that was given to my classmates and I challenged us to step out of our comfort zone and try new methods when taking photos. I liked every assignment that was given to us because (before COVID-19) we could explore outside the classroom to photograph the beauty of nature and challenge ourselves in finding secret hidden gems in nature. Exploring different artist also gave us a picture of the different styles there are and allowing us to explore the way those artist think by recreating their photos with our own twist to it. Once we started online due to COVID-19 Professor diBenedetto (you) took the time to talk to my classmates and I and just check in on us, which I truly appreciate you for doing that. You put a lot of effort to continue giving us a great experience even if it was online. You truly demonstrated how much you care for us your students. I’m glad I took this class because I found a new hobby for the summer to continue taking photos and continue getting better at it. Thank you for a great semester!
