Photographing the body

Photographing the body was a bit difficult to do in my opinion because I didn’t want to do anything revealing nor did I have any ideas. As I looked for inspiration by going back and looking at the powerpoint provided in class about photographing the body, I found myself intrigued by the movement to create timelessness with our bodies. Therefore, using my somewhat gymnastics skills I still have did a handstand and photographed the process of it. Using double exposure I could capture the process in a timely manner that portrayed a timeless photo of a handstand. I also focused on skin texture through the hands of my little brother. I edited the photos in black and white, added some exposure to highlight some of the shadows, and added grain to make them resemble older. The last picture I attempted to create timelessness with the hands of my little brother.
